 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is online therapy?

Online therapy—also called telehealth or virtual counseling—is just like in-person therapy, but it takes place securely over video. Sessions are conducted using a HIPAA-compliant platform, so your privacy is fully protected.

Is online therapy effective?

Yes! Research shows that virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person counseling for most issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. It’s also more flexible and accessible.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. We accept several major insurance plans in Tennessee. Please contact us or visit our Insurance & Rates page for a current list. We’re happy to verify your benefits and explain your coverage before you start.

What will I pay with insurance?

Your cost depends on your specific plan. You may have a copay, coinsurance, or deductible. We’ll check your benefits and let you know what to expect up front—no surprises.

What if I don’t have insurance or prefer not to use it?

We offer affordable private pay rates for therapy, including packages and sliding scale options for eligible clients. Our Private Pay IOP and therapy sessions are also available without the limitations of insurance.

What can I talk about in therapy?

Anything you need support with—anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, parenting, life changes, or just feeling overwhelmed. Therapy is a safe, non-judgmental space to work through whatever you're facing.

Do you work with teens, couples, or families?

Yes! We offer virtual counseling for individuals, couples, and teens. Each treatment plan is tailored to your unique needs and goals.

How long are sessions and how often do I need them?

Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes. Most clients start with weekly sessions, but frequency can be adjusted based on your needs or provider recommendation.
